摘要

Sloshing is the low frequency oscillation of a liquid in a partially full container. Although sloshing has always attracted enough attention in the literature, attempts to control it have been relatively limited The novel approach in this study is to employ intentional container flexibility for suppressing excessive levels of liquid sloshing. To this end, numerical simulations with finite elements are presented to demonstrate the effect on sloshing control of tuned container flexibility.
