We report new results on fabrication and characterization of thin films with nano-sized particles coated on metallic wires. Coatings are fabricated via a sputtering technique with DC and/or pulsed DC power sources. Wire substrates include stainless steel, Al, Cu, Ni/Ti, and Nb/Zr. After coating, materials properties and physical properties are analyzed by SEM/EDS, TEM, XRD, XPS and SQUID measurements. Average crystallite size is approximately 2-10 nm. The thickness of the films is 200-4,000 nm.
