Public Health in France

摘要

Although this seems often to be forgotten, the main role of a health care system is to improve health. It can do so in three main ways. Firstly, it should ensure the delivery of effective health care that meets the needs of the population. Secondly, it should provide both curative and preventive health services. Thirdly, it should, where appropriate, promote actions and policies that address the broader determinants of health. This paper examines the structures and processes that exist within the French health care system that help to take forward this agenda.
