THE STUDY OF DEMAND IN BUSINESS AND SERVICE INDUSTRY FOR TECHNOLOGY MANPOWER IN JUNIOR COLLEGES IN TAIWAN

This study aims to understand the demand for manpower at junior college level and required abilities to enter employment markets. In order to achieve this purpose, data of applying for employment in the 104. com website are analyzed. Industry of finance, international trade, business administration, retailing of general merchandize, and hospitality service in business. Service sectors are selected to be subjects, at a total of 3652 data. Besides, gray forecast is adopted to explore the study of students from junior colleges in following five years and predict employers' need of labor force with junior college degree. The study found out labor force at junior college level is mainstream in employment markets. English competence, Office application, key-in skills, active working attitudes and coordination are employers' expectation towards the graduates from junior colleges.
