The preservation and refrigeration of vaccines are factors that influence directly on efficacy of vaccination programs of swine farms. They are products very sensitive to heat and cold, because antigens may be heat-labiles and could loose the capacityto produce immunity. Thus, variations of temperature can accelerate the inactivation of vaccine components. Vaccines must be sustained in refrigeration temperatures between +2 deg C and +8 deg C. The uniform refrigeration of vaccines is provided by aircirculation, that is efficient when the vaccines bottle are not so close to the walls of the refrigerator. Vacinal error and following economic damage can occur when those factors are not considered. The present research intent to evaluate the conditions of preservation of vaccine in commercial swine farms in middle-west of Minas Gerais State, Brazil.
