BLUE EYE DISEASE (BED) OUTBREAKS CONTROL BY USING THE BED-INACTIVATED-INIFAP-VACCINE

BED is one of the five most important diseases of pigs in Mexico because of the economical impact produced in the mexican pig industry. Information about "commercial" and experimental vaccines has been available since 1990. However, there is not information about the successful utilization of BED-vaccines in controlling BED outbreaks. The objective of this study was to evaluate the BED-IMFAP-vaccine in concerning its capacity for controlling BED epizootic outbreaks.
