Hyper-Realistic Retinal Scanning Display with Wavefront Curvature Modulator

摘要

A Retinal Scanning Display system with the capability to dynamically change the position of focal plane in synchronism with 2D laser scanning has been developed and demonstrated. The Wavefront Curvature Modulator in the system modulates the divergence of laser beams to produce the variable focal plane. The images with the variable focal plane have given real 3D feelings because an object is focused in near distance than the other. Moreover a motion parallax has been observed, and has greatly emphasized stereoscopic effects.
