Based on a great many compressive tests of grouted concrete masonry prisms,deformation compatibility and static balance, the mean of compressive strength fg.m is presented. The calculated results have been observed to not only be in good agreement with trial datum, but also reflect the strength of grouted concrete masonry decreasing along with the compressive strength of grout increasing, which observed from tests. Meanwhile, by using the Kupfer's failure rule, the reasonable block-grout strength ratio, which will help the compressive strength of grout and block to reach their full play, is firstly deduced from the theory.
