摘要

The objective of this paper was to develop a risk assessment methodology of the lifeline and transportation networks subjected to seismic hazards. This seismic risk assessment methodology consists of three major parts: investigation of site conditions in study area and the estimation of ground shaking and liquefaction potential, assessment of seismic damage to lifeline system due to ground shaking and ground failure, and lifeline network reliability analysis. Seismic hazard analysis and fragility analysis are performed to assess the vulnerability criterion. Finally, application of the method to buried pipeline system of Taipei metropolitan area was studied.
