摘要

The formulation and application of a prediction model for ground-borne vibrations due to railway traffic on ballasted track is presented. The models of the train and the track are based on a finite element formulation. A statistical approach is used to account for the rail roughness. The modelling of the soil as a horizontally layered viscoelastic halfspace represents one of the key features of the prediction model. The applications in this paper demonstrate the influence of the soil conditions on the wheel-rail interaction forces, the track-soil interaction forces and the ground-borne vibrations.
