REPRODUCTIVE PROBLEMS IN THE MARE: ACUPUNCTURE THERAPY

This work examines the main problems during breeding season of the mare and it faces these pathologies according to principles of the T.C.M.The pathologies that were treated with Acupuncture are: Endometrial inflammations; Ovaric syndrome; Prolonged winter anoestrous - Prolonged spring anoestrous; Endocrin syndrome. About 300 mares were treated with Acupuncture between 1999 and 2003 with good results. The Acupuncture protocol used is a model of integrated medicine and it proposes a unitary sight of the patient in which are considered feeding and nutrition, training and 'life style' of the mares.
