摘要

Transmission of video signal over Internet has enabled a wide range of multimedia applications. Many applications on the Internet such as Digital library, Distance learning, Online shopping, Interactive TV shows, Internet broadcast, Video on demand, and Videoconferencing have demands on the technological development of video streaming, which can be described as a process of continuously transmission of a series of time-stamped video packets over Internet.
