Soft Feel Effect With Silicone Additives

摘要

The properties of coatings are usually described and characterized by their appearance, e.g. colour and gloss. In this paper we will concentrate on the tactile properties and describe how silicone additives can provide a soft feel effect to coatings that is comparable to velvet or leather. The latest developments of silicone technology for this application will be introduced, which provides additional properties such as mar, blocking and chemical resistance.
