Actually, liposomal preparations are largely used in cosmetology. But it is undoubtedly in the medical field that the liposomes raise great hopes, as non toxic and biodegradable carriers of active ingredients to specific tissues or sites in the body. Indded, a large number of laboratory studies and clinical trials highlighted the potentialities of the liposomes to improve the effectiveness and the specificity of various drugs(review article~1).
