Harmonics in the early years of electrical engineering: a brief review of events, people and documents

摘要

This paper presents a brief survey of the first engineering publications and events that dealt with nonsinusoidal voltage and current waveforms. It gives the glimpse of historical perspective, with the focus on the early nonlinear loads evolution and their impact on the power industry of that time.
