During the past two decades, investigations have been undertaken for automatic fault detection and isolation (FDI). In this context, many approaches have been proposed including observer based approaches and parity space ones. Some equivalenceproperties have been shown to exist between them for linear systems [4]. In this paper, we discuss the equivalence between the observer and the parity space based FDI for state affine system. This work follows the one of [1] in which parity space methodshave been extended to state affine systems. We are mainly interested in the following class of systems:
