REGIONAL METALLOGENETIC MODELS OF LARGE AND SUPER-LARGE ORE DEPOSITS OF YUNNAN

In this paper, the super-large ore deposit is defined according to Tu Guangzhi, i.e. 3-5 times the size of lower limit of a large ore deposit and the criterion of the large type ore deposit is in accordance with that set by the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources. In Yunnan province, there are 1,232 prospected ore deposits, of which 79 deposits are of the large type, and 10 deposits are of the super-large type. The reserves of the large type and super-large type ore deposits (ore field) are very high, although their number is small. According to statistics, the propotion of the reserves of 13 kinds of mineral resources of the super-large ore deposits in Yunnan Province is as follows: Tl 98%, Cd 97.04%, Sr 82.6% , Sn 82.13%, Salt 69.79%, Pb-Zn 67.19%, Ni 60.19%, Cu 57.61%, Ag52.63%, Au 51.74%, P 50.83%, Rich Fe ore 66.36% (Fe ore 17.16%).
