Psychophysiological features of adaptation to stress and risk assessment at operator's work

While the requirements for professional knowledge and skills may be defined adequately for various kinds of mental work, the evaluation of their current functional condition suffers from a failure to take into account not only the overall levels of psychophysiological parameters, but also changes of state, especially over brief periods of time (day to day, during the working day, and during periods of shifts). The direct or indirect measurement of psychophysiological changes permits one to evaluate the structure of the functional system (Anokhin, 1973) underlying the activity and its elements, allowing us to predict individual variability of psychological fitness and operator reliability.
