Effects of electricity pricing system on EV charging in Jeju Island

摘要

Electric power and energy consumption will increase as the use of electric vehicles increase in Jeju Island. South Korea has a time-of-use (TOU) electricity pricing system for electric vehicle (EV) charging. The TOU pricing system means the price is different at a different time interval, i.e., high at electric power peak time and low at off-peak time. This study examined the effects of the TOU pricing system on EV charging in Jeju Island.
