This article discusses emergency modes of operation of synchronous generators operating in parallel with the electric power system and, in particular, in the autonomous mode. For a qualitative assessment and analysis of the properties of micro-power systems with mini-hydroelectric power plants in emergency modes, a calculation scheme was modeled in the PSCAD/EMTDS software package. Variant calculations have been carried out, when in the first case, an unstable short circuit occurs behind the transformer and self-destructs, and in the second case, a stable short circuit turns off the high-voltage circuit breakers. The parameters of the electrical equipment installed in the Gorno-Badakhshan power system "Pamir-Energy" of the Republic of Tajikistan were used as the initial data. An assessment of the impact of emergency modes on the parallel operation of a synchronous generator was obtained. It is shown that in the event of an unstable short circuit, which self-destructs, it can switch to the initial mode. In the case of a stable short circuit of 0.5 seconds duration, the stability of the generator, as well as the equivalent power system, is disturbed. It is recommended to develop additional emergency-free automatics to prevent switching to the asynchronous mode of the synchronous generator.
