摘要

The report investigates the three-dimensional turbulent flow simulation through a centrifugal pump semi-open impeller with a clearance near pump front cover. Based on the Reynolds time-averaged Navier-Stokes equations and the standard k-emodel, the SIMPLEC algorithm with body-fitted coordination and staggering grid system is applied for the solution procedure of the discretized governing equations. The experimental data for the pressure distribution measured on front cover is selected for the purpose of comparison. The comparison shows the calculated result is in good agreement with the experiment data. The velocity and pressure distributions on several sections from hub to front cover ar also presented. From the velocity vectors and distriutions near blade leading edge on several sections from bub to front cover, the change of boundary layer is also predicted. The calculated result is rather satisfactory.
