Leaking blood in the aneurysm cavity i.e. sac area, can lead to a dangerous pressure buildup and subsequently aneurysm rupture. The purpose of this study was to use and improve the efficacy of a stent with Venturi geometry, in order to reduce the pressure in the sac area. In summary, our simulation shows that in the event of an endoleak type Ⅲ, as a result of the given fluid flow conditions, aneurysm and stents geometry and wall material properties, the sac pressure can be reduced by using a stent with the Venturi structure comparing with the straight stent shape. Furthermore, this study provided a theoretical basis for the design of better stents and may suggest a broader alternative for further research on the effect of Venturi structural parameters on the hemodynamic performance.
