This work is devoted to the study of the effect of soil pollution by heavy metal on its electromagnetic response. Heavy metal ions are contained in the soil in the form of salts CuSO4. NiSO4. MnSO4. ZnS, Pb (NO3) 2. some of which were used in the experiment. Samples of light loamy soil were collected in Krasnoyarsk region. Eastern Siberia, Russia. Complex dielectric permittivity was measured in coaxial section by Agilent Technologies vector network analyzer E8363B in the frequency range 1 - 18 GHz. Soil samples had some moisture contents W from 1% to 25 %. The dependences of the dielectric constant on frequency for samples with Ni are more pronounced than for samples with Cu. the addition of an Adding an impurity to the sample increases the amount of bound moisture. So for the metal content in the soil 165 mg / kg: W_b (Cu) = 0.1822, W_b (Ni) = 0.1657. while for the sample without impurity W_b = 0.1138. The addition of an impurity introduces a change in the dependence of the dielectric constant on moisture, the metal content can be estimated from the change in the dielectric constant when the moisture changes. A method for detecting the content of heavy metals in soil using the dε'/dW (C) dependence is proposed. Dependences of the derivative dielectric constant with moisture on the metal content in the soil were tested.
