As the third-generation photovoltaic cells, dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) have great potential for application under indoor lighting. We investigate the application of titanium dioxide (TiO2) films that are modified by silver nanowires (AgNWs) under low illumination. The low-illuminance photovoltaic characteristics of DSSCs are measured using a T5 LED light source to simulate indoor applications. According to experimental results, the DSSCs modified by AgNWs obtains a higher photovoltaic conversion efficiency under low illumination.
