Cardiotocography: An indicator to predict Vaginal and Cesarean Deliveries

Cardiotocography (CTG) comprises of the Uterine maternal contractions (UC) and the Fetal Heart Rate (FHR) recorded concomitantly. CTG has widely been used for pregnancy evaluation. In this research, we proposed a novel and straightforward technique for classification of Vaginal versus Cesarean deliveries using both Uterine contractions (UC) and Fetal Heart Rate (FHR) separately for the Cardiotocography dataset gained from the Physionet. Only one feature has been extracted from both UC and FHR for classification. Based on Fine KNN as a classifier, an accuracy of 100% has been achieved.
