Virtual space decision support system (VSDSS) and theproduction/sales unification system applied to it

Using three-dimensional computer graphics, interactive interfacedevices, and high-resolution displays, a virtual world can be realizedin which one can pick up imaginary objects as if they were real. Usingthis technology, Matsushita Electric Works has bee developing thevirtual space decision support system (VSDSS), where users can designvirtual products and experience them in virtual space. VSDSS can be usedto build a integrated sales/production system (US/PS) which can letusers design their own custom products and have them produced by acomputer-aided manufacturing system.
