Biochemical kinetics in articular cartilage and synovial fluid

摘要

The compressive load bearing properties of articular cartilagedepend on the cartilage-synovial fluid interaction. In freshlyslaughtered bovine knee joints, proteoglycan and uronic acid contents incartilage and synovial fluid hyaluronic acid, protein and acidphosphatase have been studied. The inter-dependence of biochemicalparameters in cartilage and synovial fluid and its role forbiomechanical health of the cartilage is discussed
