摘要

The loading path effects on the compressive strength ofconfined concrete in CFT columns were studied in part 2. Thefollowing conclusions can be drawn:(1) The confinement effect of confined concrete is influencednot only by the confining stress but also by the loading path.(2) Loading path effect is significant for the concrete under theloading path with a small SI, which however could be neglectedif SI exceeds 0.5.(3) The experimental tests indicated that the concrete core in aCFT column is generally confined by a loading path with alaterally dominant index less than 0.5. Therefore, to betterdetermine the compressive strength of confined concrete in aCFT column, the loading path effect should be considered.(4) A compressive strength model incorporating the loadingpath effect was developed for the confined concrete in a CFTcolumn. Good performance of the proposed model was verifiedby comparison with the experimental results.
