Evaluating System of Regional FDI Climate Competitiveness in China

摘要

Foreign direct investment (FDI) inflow to China increased dramatically own to China’s open policy and improvement of FDI climate. However, there is large gap of regional FDI performance across China, and this variation educes the relative importance of different dimensions of regional FDI climate competitiveness. This paper examines an evaluating system of regional FDI climate competitiveness in China based on Principle Component Analysis using provincial data and compares regional FDI climate competitiveness to gain more realistic measures of improving regional FDI climate competitiveness and FDI potential.
