Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) are software tools of great use to keep and preserve the knowledge of experts in organizations. However, the advantages, mathematical knowledge of expert teachers based on the solution of mathematical problems (SolMatProb) receives little attention from public education institutions. The architecture of Mathematical Knowledge Management System in Education (MKMSE) is proposed in this article in which the objective is to establish a framework for the implementation of a KMS with an important value in the educational context that: 1) seeks to improve the performance of the educator by using knowledge that is generated with others; 2) keep the teaching experience in the mathematical field and could be used by the education community; 3) build knowledge repositories in the SolMatProb in areas related to mathematics; 4) preserve experts knowledge and this can be increased, updated or eliminated according to the situation. The proposition combines the ontologies model and case model for the storage of mathematical knowledge. Finally, the article presents a functional architecture and is evaluated under the conditions of recall and precision with acceptable results, given that a 74% of the students were able to solve a mathematical task presented.
