In this paper, we propose a new method by combining the wavelet transform (WT) with singular spectrum analysis (SSA) named multi-scale SSA (MS-SSA) for channel estimation (CE) of OFDM transceiver systems. Recently, the de-noising based CE methods attracted the researcher's attention, which motivated to use WT for denoising in combination with SSA for low rank approximation of channel correlation matrix. Multi resolution analysis (MRA) capability of WT eliminates the correlated noise components which made the improved bit error rate (BER) performance of the proposed MS-SSA based method compared to SSA and singular value decomposition (SVD) methods.
