Third International AMSAT Phase 3D Design Review Meeting May 25 - 28, 1992 in Marburg, Germany

Karl Meinzer welcomed the numerous participants attending the third internationalPhase-3D Design Meeting in Marburg.He went on to report on the current status and development schedule of the Ariane-5rocket. Previously P3D had been assigned to flight AR402, which is scheduled tolaunch in the Spring of 1996. Due to several delays however, a reassignment to AR401is under consideration. The first test launch of a Ariane-5 with P3D would then occur inOctober, 1995. Karl Meinzer emphasized that we should not count on any launchdelays in our plans.
