This paper provides mathematical modeling of the operation of a current measuring transducer (CMT), which is not subject to saturation and has a significantly lower mass compared to traditional electromagnetic current transformers. The operational principle of the CMT under study is based on measuring the magnetic field of a conductor with current. We studied the design of an H-shaped CMT which has the best compensation of interfering currents, in comparison with other known designs. The mathematical modeling was performed using the COMSOL Multiphysics software package. We received models of output signals of the H-shaped transducer of known design and of reduced size. We found out that with a decrease in the size of the transducer, the compensating ability of the CMT decreases, and therefore we suggested an improved design of the H-shaped CMT.
