With the rapid development of information technology, more and more vocational colleges are actively building smart campus, introducing information technology software, and advocating the combination of online and offline hybrid teaching, with a view to enabling classroom teaching. English course in higher vocational colleges, with its basic cross- cultural attributes, being both instrumental and humanistic, plays a significant role in educating students with the help of information technology apart from skills and knowledge. Meanwhile, it is an inevitable trend and direction for English course in higher vocational colleges to integrate ideological and political connotations. Taking Unit 1 What a wonderful time! for example, this paper discusses the effective path of using motivation-enhancing experience model which includes information technology software such as Superstar Learning Platform and educational games to further combine with ideological and political education in English course, so as to provide valuable reference and innovative suggestions.
