A technique is proposed for calculating and carried out the calculation the values of energy savings in frequency-regulated electric alternating current motors for one cycle of start-braking regimes and annual energy savings obtained by optimizing the duration of acceleration and deceleration times and the type of speed trajectories in these regimes. Using the results of the calculation, researches have been carried out to save energy and optimize energy efficiency under start-braking regimes for asynchronous and synchronous motors as applied to various types of (constant, fan, pump and traction) loads.
