Commutating process in a bridge compensation rectifier

摘要

The research results presented in the article prove the prospects of transferring energy converters to the mode of compensation due to the use of an improved commutation device. An improvement of the commutation device is to replace the three-phase separation reactor with a three-phase group of fully controllable devices (e.g. IGBT transistors). The proposed technical solution expands the possibility to implement the optimal operation mode of the rectifier taking into account the load requirement. Optimisation of energy, input and output characteristics is achieved due to combination of several factors: a time shift between the moments of diode and transistor switching, selection of capacitor battery capacitance, control of pulse frequency and length for regulating transistor.
