The authors proposed the use of a digital interferometry device to improve the quality of the display of information on the state of the plasma membranes of red blood cells. This will allow building a three-dimensional image of blood organelles and studying in detail the morphological changes in peripheral blood cells. The authors were able to obtain additional diagnostic features for morphological changes in red blood cells, which improves the quality of diagnosis of particularly complex pathological changes caused by pathogenic processes, including viral infections.
