The use of Distributed Generation sources in the power systems is often caused by the “islanding” of local power systems based on the distributed architecture. The presence of renewable sources often affects the power quality and the reliability of power system operation (including local power systems). The reason for this is a high level of penetration of different types of power electronic converters which are often used to connect different types of renewables to the electricity grid. At the moment, there is a large number of reliability indicators which allow even to take into account the influence of distributed generation sources to the grids reliability. But these indicators don't give the complex understanding of the reliability in the power system with distributed generation sources. So there is still a need of complex assessment in power systems which would take into account all types of power sources. The purpose of the article is to analyze the reliability of power supply for local systems with Distributed Generation sources taking into account the exchange processes occurring in the grid.
