Pulsewidth dependence of the nonlinear refractive index of Air

We use the ultrafast response function of air to predict the pulsewidth dependence of $n_{2,eff}$ from measurements in the near and mid-infrared showing no dispersion. This allows predictions of the dependence of $n_{2,eff}$ on altitude.
