Reducing the cost of manufacturing batteries for electricity storage has led EU Electricity Distributors OD to investment programs in battery storage systems and the supply of electricity stored at daily peak load or in case of damage to the regional power supply consumers over limited time periods. Combined with the possibility of powering storage batteries in local photovoltaic or wind farms, the storage of electricity and the delivery to the energy system leads to the reduction of the Technological Consumption, the elimination of the interruptions in the power supply of the consumers and implicitly the development of a regional business for the Operators OD sale of electricity from renewable sources.
