This work describes the field deployment of an innovative portable autoGC in the Rubbertown area of Louisville, K Y, representing one of several NGEM technological approaches that are currently under evaluation as part of the Rubbertown NGEM Demonstration Project. The Tricorntech MiTAP autoGC was customized to quantify 12 air toxic VOCs of concern in Rubbertown in the outdoor ambient environment with hourly time resolution and MDLs of 0.01 - 0.07 ppbv. The MiTAP monitored select air toxics in two sites in Rubbertown over the period of Sept. 2017 to Nov. 2018, where it observed several high 1,3-butadiene concentration events at both sites. VOC profiles consisted predominantly of 1,3-butadiene, benzene, ethylbenzcne, methyl methacrylate and styrene. However, relative contributions of these air toxics differed between the two Rubbertown field sites.
