With the rapid development of automotive electromagnetic equipment, traditional electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues should get renewed to keep pace with increasingly complex car-electronics especially in electric vehicles (EVs). This work calculates the electromagnetic fields (EMFs) in several kinds of electronic components of an EV exposed to its wireless charging system working at the frequency of 30 kHz. An integrated real-size EV model is constructed and the numerical calculation is carried out by a finite element method (FEM). The simulation result provides a significant reference for authentic EMC of electric vehicles brought in by the inductive power transfer (IPT) system.
