Frequency diverse array (FDA) offers a potential solution to the phased array in achieving the range-angle-dependent beampattern. However, its intrinsic drawback, in terms of the time-variant range-angle-coupled beampattern, has greatly limited its development. To address this problem, a logarithm-based static nonlinear frequency offset (LSNFO) is proposed. By introducing the LSNFO, a quasi-time-invariant spatial focusing beampattern is achieved. Numerical results have been provided to validate the effectiveness of the LSNFO-FDA.
