This paper presents an approach to generalize the analysis theory of diode mixers by the nodal equations method. Using the developed method, a theoretical analysis of the conversion gains of diode mixer circuits (balanced, double-balanced and triple-balanced) is performed. The simulation results are presented, which confirm a high accuracy of the calculation results. The dependences of conversion gains on the load conductance and on the local oscillator (LO) voltage amplitude are presented. Calculation and simulation results are obtained for two LO operation modes: harmonic and pulse.
