In this study, we simultaneously recovered 3 fractions of DNA (iDNA, Dis_eDNA, Ads_eDNA) from treated wastewater for discharge and reuse. ARGs were found in all three DNA fractions with the highest abundances found in iDNA. High chlorine dose and long contact time alleviated ARGs from both iDNA and eDNA. Further studies under controlled conditions are required.
