摘要

This paper presents a novel spin rate estimation system for artillery projectile which relies on two linearly polarized antennas and a radio frequency power detector device (PDD). Emphasis is put on the spin rate measurement results and their comparison to another system based on embedded magnetometers. The precision of the method is evaluated by real field test experiments and real firings. The system was designed to support the solution with on-board magnetometers, but can also offer a large number of possible applications.
