The virtual reality technology is utilized to establish a typical refinery enterprise storage tank yard accident simulation system, which is designed with functions such as hazard identification, risk evaluation and analysis, typical accident simulation, typical accident emergency rescue drill, typical accident backtracking, etc. The training mode based on virtual simulation fully embodies the difficulty and risk of works and accident rescue in storage tank yards, so it is adopted to enhance trainees ability to conduct correct operations at complicated sites, reinforce their operating skills, lift their professional levels and mental adaptive ability, increase their efficiency in handling complicated dangers, and make them adapt to their jobs as early as possible. With friendly human-computer interaction interface, support of professional database, and perfect functions, the system can be used as a learning tool and drilling platform for trainees.
