摘要

We discuss in-line holographic measurements for the metrological characterization of optical fibers. Accompanied by numerical simulations of the entire structure we find an excellent agreement with the experimental results. Our results indicate that form deviations of the cladding diameter of ΔD_(Clad) ≈ 50nm and uncertainties in the refractive index profile of Δn_(Clad) ≈ 1 *1 0~(-3) can be assessed.
