摘要

1 -(4-dimethylaminobenzylidene)-2-(2-hydroxybenzylidene) hydrazine was synthesized, characterized and tested as a corrosion inhibitor for XC38 steel in 1M HCI using weight loss method and potentiodynamic polarization methods. The corrosion inhibition efficiency results obtained by all the both techniques were in good agreement with each other. This study revealed that, the inhibition efficiency increases with increasing the inhibitor concentration. The adsorption of this compound on the surface of XC38 steel obeys Langmuir's adsorption isotherm.
