Bimetallic composites of Al@Fe2O3 were prepared using amphiphilic PVC-g-POEM graft copolymer which was synthesized via ATRP process as a template via a sol-gel method.Al particles were well dispersed in a solution due to the amphiphilic properties of PVC-g-POEM graft copolymer.A hydrophilic precursor, iron ethoxide (Fe2O3), undergoes hydrolysis and condensation with hydrophilic POEM side chains.Thus, the core of the micelle is occupied by PVC/Al composites while the shell of the micelle consists of POEM/Fe2O3 composites.After calcination, formation of Al@Fe2O3 is completed.
